Are You a Ladybug or a Girlbug?

I was recently browsing in a Children's boutique in South Haven, Michigan and saw the cutest little onesie that said, "Are you a ladybug or a girlbug?".  It flooded me with memories of my first neice, Krystianna and how she absolutely adored ladybugs.  From about the age 2 through 8, and maybe even older she loved anything and everything ladybug!


How much fun I had finding little ladybug things for her. From little t-shirts to necklaces, she adored everything ladybug that she added to her collection. It was so much fun watching a ladybug land on her in the spring and summer. She would squeel in delight and then tell me that the ladybug had kissed her.  Some of my very best memories are with Krystianna. Everything delighted her and how fun it was for me to see things through the eyes of a child.  If only we could capture the enthusiasm and curiosity of a child for ourselves! What a different world we would live in.


Krystianna is now 12 years old and the sheer delight of everything ladybug is now a thing of the past. But, I will always hold such precious memories of ladybugs and her in my heart.

Keeping up with the Kardashians

I recently was talking to my friend Ruthanne and telling her all about this teether for babies, called "Sophie the Giraffe".  I kind of shamed her into buying it for her grandson Cole.  I told her a baby who was "anyone" has to have a Sophie the Giraffe Teether.  It is true, because now I have spotted Sophie the Giraffe Teether twice on Courntey and Kim Take New York. Courtney Kardashian's son Mason has Sophie.

Favorite Auntie

Hi and welcome to my blog!  Although I am not a Grandma or even a Mommy, I am a favorite auntie!


I will start off with a little about me. I have been in the gift and catalog industry for over 15 years. So, when my friend Susan decided to start Grand Expression  that would cater to all of those cherished relationships in our lives, I knew I wanted to be a part of it!  We attended our first gift show in October and carefully (and joyfully) selected the first items that would go on this website.
 
Like I said, I'm not a Grandma or a Mommy but have lots of cherished ones in my life that I love to adorn with special gifts or even a note expressing my love and encouragement to them.

My most recent purchase was our Lucky the Horse Purse.  I have a niece who is two and I knew when I saw this adorable little purse that it must go to my niece Isabella! I went to Target and purchased some chapstick, a little tiara, and some nail polish and tucked it away inside the purse. Needless to say, the purse was a hit!
